About our basketball academy
DC Hoops Academy uses the latest international learning methods to accelerate skill development, while providing a fun, engaging environment. Lessons are specifically developed for your age and skill level. Choose the program that suits you – weekly classes, advanced squad, holiday program, birthday party or school program.
DC Hoops Academy is run by Debbie Carr, a former tennis professional who has been coaching sport for over 20 years at a range of clubs, including the prestigious Royal South Yarra Tennis Club, and at schools from Carey Grammar to Berwick Fields Primary School. She has also coached in Miami, USA.
Debbie is a Basketball Australia qualified basketball coach, a Tennis Australia Advanced Level Tennis Coach and a Soccer Australia qualified soccer coach. She has hand-picked a team of experienced and qualified coaches to work with her, whom she continues to mentor and train. All staff have WWCC, police checks and current first aid certificates.
